The Catfish Kings
Great Balls of Fire! It’s The Catfish Kings
If vintage is your thing, The Catfish Kings are the coolest thing around to deliver of those 1950s vibes. Rapidly growing their reputation on the UK rock & roll scene, The Catfish Kings feature five guys rooted in the music they all grew up with.
Drawing from the repertoires of their heroes like Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard, the band occasionally add a few of their own songs into the mix
Featuring Birmingham-born Harry Lang on guitar and voice, with Slow Dryer, saxophone, and Stephan Linton on piano, the band pivots on the rocking-est rhythm section you could wish for: Paul George on stand-up bass and David Lacey, drums.
The Catfish Kings have graced the stage of many of the UK’s top events, including The Twinwood Festival, Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival (eight years in succession), American Automobile Show, Northants (three times), Broadstairs Folk Week, Dover St Jazz Bar, Mayfair, and The Kings Of Rock and Roll Festival ,(twice).
Members of the band have played or recorded with Chuck Berry, Ruby Turner, Roddy Jackson, Swing Zazou, Tommy Brown and Steve Cropper.
