Roy Forbes Valentines Special

12/02/2022 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join Roy Forbes for Valentines weekend !

Roy Forbes – Male Vocalist

After singing at an early age in a Church of England choir, and exploring his love of music through recordings for many years, it was the jam sessions in pubs and clubs in his local area of Birmingham, which made Roy realise that he wanted to perform. There were Reggae, Soul and Jazz bands around at that time. Roy was very enthusiastic and would jam with any band that would let him. One night at a jazz club called Accafess, he saw, heard and met renowned Jamaican saxophonist Andy Hamilton. Andy Hamilton became Roy’s mentor. For thirteen years Roy was the main jazz vocalist with the legendary Andy Hamilton’s blue notes. He went on to play in East & West Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Jamaica & St Lucia. After leaving Hamilton’s band to form his own quintet, Roy produced three albums and gained quite a reputation. His jazz outfit often play cool jazz through dinner followed by Soul and Reggae for dancing.

Roy Forbes is a dynamic and versatile jazz, Soul & Reggae vocalist

A set Menu will be available that evening.
